Mission Statement
The Lutheran Theological Center in Atlanta is a primary and unique resource of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) in the preparation of leadership within the African Descent community and those interested in urban ministry networked with the eight (8) ELCA seminaries, Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC) and other educational resources of the greater Atlanta area to equip all the baptized for ministry. |

Purpose Statement
The fundamental purpose of the Lutheran Theological Center in Atlanta is to develop leadership for the church through diverse experience and intensive theological study. The Center equips the whole people of God – candidates for ministry, members of congregations, youth and rostered leaders out of a perspective that is Lutheran, ecumenical, contextual, multicultural, urban, inclusive and global.
